Comparing

We do not realize that, many times, the same people whom we compare ourselves to, compare themselves to us. We have to be realistic; we all have issues, and some more than others. By measuring our problems with other, many times, helps us accept our current situation. Other times, when others issues seem less than ours, it impact us negatively.

We cannot do without measuring.

  1. "...the same people whom we compare ourselves to, compare themselves to us" << I had to read that a few times over to fathom the depth; I only wish more would realize this.

To be honest though, its sometime hard, if not impossible not to compare and as I argued recently, more times its the social structure.

  2. True that bros--- just like saying the tears we cry on the outside, they also cry on the inside. The World is not what it seems it is so people need to make decisions based on how it suits them and just let the immediate environment take dressing and make adjustment to what ever it turns out to be.

  3. Comparing is something the mind does.

Do you know that the eye is really upside down? Do you know that everything we see is taken in for information although we are not aware of it? Do you know that the only way to get out attention is to have something that does not fit in the picture?

Our mind works in a remarkable way. Comparing is one of them. In order for the mind to do all the things mentioned above, it must compare.

Comparing in ourselves is automatic. Turning it off is possible when it comes to feelings. The first step is knowing that you are comparing yourself.

Being aware of yourself and your actions is the first step of understanding yourself. So being aware that you are comparing yourself, is knowing of your own bad habits.
